Writing for people or for Google?

Writing for people or for Google?

We all know that if Google doesn’t acknowledge your site’s existence, and that if you’re not ranked withing the top 10 or 20 search results in your category, you might as well not count on any web traffic. Sure, you can always use your website as a company profile / brochure and send your prospects and customers there by giving them your URL, but you won’t get any NEW customers. That’s why optimizing your website for search engines is sooooo important!

On the other hand, I have seen too many websites that invested a great deal of energy and good intention on Search Engine Optimization and neglected their human readers. These kind of sites may get a lot of traffic, but they won’t convert that traffic into customers unless they make sure their content is aimed at humans first and at search engines second.
